Guest piratefaithful Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Same ol same ol in Vidor.Time for a change.I have been a fan for over 40 years.I have had sons play for vidor and I am tired of watching that bull every week.Unprepared,No Offense,no halftime adjustments and he has had 9 years to turn this program around and still hasn't done anything. We are down 19 points tonight and with 2 minutes left we are STILL running the ball!! Why?? why do we run up the middle all night and pass on third down EVERY time?? we are so predictable.Vidor NEVER got into a hurry up offense in the 4th qtr.we just ran, ran, ran.Everyone in the stands was hollering and it is sad to see people leave at halftime or in the 3rd not because of the kids but of coaching..It has gotten worse every year and it is time for a change in Vidor.I am not bashing in anyway just stating the facts.Nederland and Lumberton has both seen us play and I am sure people from there can explain further about what I am saying..It is TERRIBLE.I wont go back until there is a change. They can have my season tickets!!
Guest piratefaithful Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Great play calling tonight from LUMBERTON..wish we had the same
Guest blackflag Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 I completly agree with you!! I could go on and on about Vidor's problems but I don't have enough time to write a book. I won't go back either until there is a change. I know that is not the kids!
Guest piratefaithful Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 It made me sick tonight..not even a sense of urgency to come back in the 4th qtr.And I am not the only one the stands were going crazy!!We were out coached tonight..Hats off to teh Lumberton coach and his staff
Guest FROG Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 I agree 100% I have been watching pirate football for a long time this reminds me of the early 90's 0-10 years its not just the head coach its the OC and DC Vidor has had some great coaches come for a year or two and leave. We need a change!
Guest piratefaithful Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 where else can you go and have 1 winning season in 9 years and still be the head coach.the OC i dont even know where he came from and I heard alot of good things about Eskue and he has not impressed me one bit.when will he realize that the corners dont need to play 15 yards off the ball?
Guest piratefaithful Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Lumberton was good but its not like they have alot more athletes then us..there OC mixed it up all night.there defense played awesome.they are a very well coached team
trout Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 I agree 100% I have been watching pirate football for a long time this reminds me of the early 90's 0-10 years its not just the head coach its the OC and DC Vidor has had some great coaches come for a year or two and leave. We need a change! One of the questions should be, why would a good coach only stay for 1 year? Maybe because Vidor is only keeping the Good Old Boys for coachs not the ones with real talent. Coachs with real talent will not stay and put up with that BS. They move on and find somewhere that is looking for real coachs not just the Good Old Boys network.
Guest FROG Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 I 'll take the old middle school coach i think his name was Coach Post!
black pearl Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 The most boring game Ive ever been to and have been a ticket holder for 20 years. The offense is so predictable its not even funny. Brings back ugly memories of 0-10 seasons. Thank God for Houston Jones.
pirate68 Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 :oYeah the faces say it all Piratefan its not good when people talk like this. hopefully they can turn it around and we wont get humiliated by Dayton.
83_Alumni Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 It is way past time for a change in Vidor and it is not the kids, it is the program or should I say the lack of. Change will only occur when the elected officials decide that they want Vidor to have a winning program. Everyone wants to talk about Vidor being young, Vidor is young because they continue to lose kids at a faster rate than they lose games. I guess no one has noticed that they have less than 12 juniors in the program, when in the 8th grade this class had approximately 70. I have followed the program for a long time and this is one of the worst coaching displays I have ever seen. Most succesful programs try to start their players in junior high running the offense and defense that they will run in high school, not the case in Vidor, the coaches at the high school level decide what offense and defense they want to run with little to no regard to what fits the personnel they have. They can talk about the lack of athletes, etc.. thats just BS. It is time for a change.
