Pimp Smack
really? this is only lumberton's second test of the year. they are 1-0 in real games. i don't understand why a few lumberton fans don't get that... i think it's the fans that are screaming for respect that have caused so many of us to not give it. Now i'm not saying lumberton is overrated... i'm saying nobody really knows yet. this week will tell the tale. one way or another, this is the week where everyone finds out what lumberton is all about. any team can pull off a lucky win, and i know i personally just want to see another game against a COMPETITIVE opponent to show me that lumberton can consistently compete with quality opponents. People just say that because Lumberton hasnt been good in recent years, and nobody expects them to do good. If Dayton, Central, or Nederland had Lumbertons schedule this year with the same record, and game outcomes they would be considered awesome. But since Lumberton hasnt proven anything in the past we must do ALOT to prove ourselves. No im not sayin we are GREAT and will run through everyone. Yes we had weak non-district games. But watching those games and our 2 district games you can tell Lumberton could hang with anyone in the district.

Guest TravelingBandsman
Beaumont Central has to win to stay in the race for playoffs. If they lose here, then they would have to beat both Dayton and Port-Neches Groves to hope for 3rd place. Nederland is on a storm, and Port Neches-Groves is that "if" team. They'll be the team that has the chance to get playoffs or just lose it all within like 2 games. However, if Lumberton loses, they're not completely out. I just think Beaumont Central will fight harder because they have something to lose that is greater than what Lumberton faces.

Stop and think about this Central can in no way have more to lose than Lumberton. If Lumberton doesnt go 7-0 or 6-1 in District everyone jumps on them. If Central beats Lumberton everyone is happy and saying see I told yall the win over Dayton was a fluke. Lumberton is playing for a whole City a whole 40 years of High School kids that have had to hear every year " Yall Have Never Made The Playoffs" Central may win but in no way Do they have more to play for!!!! They already beat us. We still have to play PN-G, and L-Town tonite. It could get interesting.
