Guest BIG HOUSE Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 This kid is the real deal, and I do like MICHIGAN ;D
BMTSoulja1 Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 I want to question the defense he does this against, not taking anything away from the kid, though.
BearWolf Posted October 6, 2007 Author Report Posted October 6, 2007 Jersey Village is 1-4 on the season
BearWolf Posted October 6, 2007 Author Report Posted October 6, 2007 clear lake rush for 391 yds on them in the season opener
82 5A State Champs Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 man, I hope we don't have to see them in the playoffs!
BearWolf Posted October 6, 2007 Author Report Posted October 6, 2007 it's a good possibility. The brook see great backs every day at practice.
82 5A State Champs Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 yeah, but how well would we do in a game type situation with a 2000 yard rusher?
BearWolf Posted October 6, 2007 Author Report Posted October 6, 2007 The WB defensive front is built to defend this type of back. Those DE's and LB's are just as fast as he is.
82 5A State Champs Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 oh I know....it's just that going against a team with one power runner worry's me, because the team basically prepares for that one runner, and I don't think they're prepared for other threat possibilities if they haven't seen them. So it leaves a team a little unprepared. Just me talking out loud......
BearWolf Posted October 6, 2007 Author Report Posted October 6, 2007 I will have to talk to some of my coaching friends in the Cy Fair and Spring Districts and see what they say about this team.
82 5A State Champs Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 ask them about WB also!!find out what they think about us!
BearWolf Posted October 6, 2007 Author Report Posted October 6, 2007 they have told me that WB is the buzz among Houston coaches. They see a program under Stump that is getting better every year. They thought the talent pool in this area had dried up. They are amazed at the quality of athlete that has shown up at WB after a long down period. They was hoping that with the Bond that WB would split up again. I told them, it ain't happening.
82 5A State Champs Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 goooooood......if we can get'em on the ropes, we need to keep 'em on the ropes. I think this year could be our year to make a deep playoff run. I'm not making any plans for the Thanksgiving weekend, or beyond...... ;D
BMTSoulja1 Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Brook is now poised to make a state run with that defense. If my Jags are done, I will be there to watch every min of it!
Lightning/Eagle Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 The WB defensive front is built to defend this type of back. Those DE's and LB's are just as fast as he is.Your kidding right. Any of your DE's qualify for the state 5A track meet last year?
McHale Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 The WB defensive front is built to defend this type of back. Those DE's and LB's are just as fast as he is.WB guys are probably fast, but probably not "just as fast" as him. That being said when you have 11 fast guys on Defense it is easier to contain a fast back because each guy only has to be fast for a small area and it really does not matter who he is getting these yards against. 272 yards in a 5-A game is impressive.
BearWolf Posted October 6, 2007 Author Report Posted October 6, 2007 the cream will rise in two more weeks over in houston and we will have a better picture of who we are looking at. My son is getting married in two weeks over in houston. WB coaches and coaches from two Spring school will be in attendance. Should make for some interesting conversation at that time of the season. I will let you know.
