Not just that Texas needs to have the division 1 and division 2 teams play each other in all classifications

Sad situation that it can’t happen.   I suspect 80% (or more) of the time, the higher classification would win.   But not in this case.   Carthage won the D1 last year, and appear to be even better this year.   As WO-S89 said, Carthage wins by, at least 21 points.  If they have a weakness, I sure don’t see it, nor have I seen anyone else mention one.   They have size, speed, great athletes at the skill positions.   They’re a handful.  A rare combination of great athletes and great Coaching.

If you did that, it would be like it was before when they only one 5 A or 4A division. There was a reason why they divided the divisions.
