i have been to Itasca it is a very small town that has a 1A school...Surprisingly their stadium is larger than most 2a schools in this area...they are the WAMPUS CATS if you have never heard a wampus cat it is because there are none. i was told the story of how they were named...apparently in the early years they were unnamed and had no idea what to be called until one night they kicked this other teams tail all over the field...an old lady was talking with everyone about the victory and told them " wel acted like a buncha wampus cats out there tonight" and the name stuck ever since...

if you think some of these are weird up near new braunfels there is a team whose mascot is the unicorns...yes the unicorns its where Lance Berkman went to high school
