What’s the alternative, rematch the 52-24 butt blistering?   No one not wearing a Gomer hat wanted to see that (except maybe Bama fans obviously).   Still say they should have put in Cincinnati- who cares since after the top 3 everyone knew it was colossal drop off.  Throw the mid majors a bone this year.  But the Irish may prove the committee right.

They are playing UNC’s Jv team, a team Nd dominated at full strength in Chapel Hill earlier this season.  Going to be hard to make a case. 
 

Regardless, ND played Alabama (late season, when saban’s teams peak Alabama) 11 points closer than aggy did.  The committee will rest easy tonight, after snickering themselves to sleep.

If you wanted A&M, and I could see the argument for them, they have already proven they are no match for ‘Bama.  The committee strictly went for the money, knowing ND would bring more viewers.

A&M matches up very well with ND.  I think A&M is better on offense and real similar on defense.  There are 3 teams this year that are head and shoulders above everyone else.  I don’t think The Big 10 should have gotten rewarded for trying to cancel the entire football season even though OSU is one of the top teams in the country.  We wouldn’t be watching football right now if it was left up to them.
