WO-S is third in enrollment in the district. If it means anything, though, we're on an 11-game winning streak against the teams in that district (plus Silsbee), including the district champs each of the last three years.

Actually, I see WOS being 4A again in about ten years. This area is going to boom.

What i like most about this year is that we are flying under the radar for the first time in a while. Everyone thinks we are having a "down" year. ;D

Silsbee was around 860 about a week ago.  Here's another tidbit, Kountze was at 411 two weeks ago.  That would put Kountze 4 kids from 3A under the current enrollment numbers.  I know this is football but imagine a bball league with Kountze,HJ, and Silsbee.

i think silsbee will be 4-a in about 5 to 10 years with that new refinary coming in

You never know. There are some positive things going on in Orange. Plenty of jobs and Inspire 12!

FYI-WOS is now the 4th team in the district. Bridge City as of this year has more students than WOS.

Why is WOS losing kids so fast?  I talked to some OF folks today and was told they have not been getting any.  LCM or BC up?  Losing 200 kids in under 3 years is a very odd trend.  I know the general area is fixing to have growth with the new jobs.  I have a friend fixing to build approximately 50 new apartments in BC.

Well, I know that 2 years ago when the count meant something for class standings, WOS had just received an influx of Katrina kids.

I know that most of those students have left the district.  Fortunately, Tim Matherne and his family stayed.  LCM gets most of the ones that leave WOS.

There was a modified formula for those kids. They counted like a 1/2 or something to that effect.
