I believe Lamar played Division 1A football from 1973 to 1981.  Here's a list of some of Lamar's biggest wins against other D1A schools during that time:

1981 - Baylor 18-17

1981 - Louisiana-Monroe 17-13

1981 - Louisiana-Lafayette 14-12

1980 - Arkansas State 23-22

1979 - Louisiana Tech 18-7

1976 - New Mexico State 21-17

1974 - North Texas 27-7

1974 - Southern Miss 10-7  (home game)

1973 - UTEP 31-27

Any new rumors about football? It seem like everyone already knows so why haven't LU announced.

Stopped by the athletic department today but did not ask anyone about football. They pretty much know how I feel and I don't want them to think I just stop by to ask questions to answers which haven't been made public.

I need and want to keep a good relationship with those guys and not always putting them on the "hotseat" with questions. I just stopped to say hello and provide them with a little information I thought may be helpful.

Sampere is hurt but has nice breaking ball, Broussard can run down any flyball in the outfield, Hester is left handed and can bring it.
