proudpiratefan
I would like to nominate Seth Williams, freshman from Deweyville. Played tough behind the plate and also had .603 batting average
cleanup13
Carnahan from PNG. This sophmore excelled under intense pressure when having to take the helm from 3 year starter Blake Buchanan because of unfortunate circumstances. He helped guide this senior heavy team to the area play-offs with his quiet strength and hard work ethic. Season stats: AVG .339, SL% .419, OBP .457, GM 27, AB 62, R 11, H 21, RBI 11, PO 165, A 18, PB 7. He is also an excellent student.

2throwrundown
Hargraves of Silsbee. Ive seen him play 21 innings this season and have seen only 2 balls get past him, both being tough pitches to block. Outstanding defensively and looks to know how to handle a pitcher well. bball100
Todd Wallace completed the season as Westbrook's Varsity sophmore catcher competing in Westbrook's tough 5A district. After his district debut with a 2 RBI Hit in the 7th inning to beat Kingwood; Todd completed the 5A season as a .365 slugger, with 98 PO's, 13 RBI's, and 2 Homeruns on 23 game starts. JohnnyT60
Hard to compare stats from 2A to 3A to 4A, the competition is a lot different. Defense is definitely the biggest factor. Offense is just gravy.
bball100
5A vs 4A vs 3A vs 2A stat comparison is difficult. Clearly, the 5A district Westbrook and Memorial compete in is different than the 4A, 3A, 2A districts. Usually, 5A competition is stronger and more difficult. As a result stats tend to be lower. JohnnyT60
This 4A district was pretty tough as well.
midcountbr
Yea, and Bridge City played every team in that 4A district except PNG. Bridge City and LCM also had 11 common opponents which accounted for 18 games for LCM and 17 games for BC. So it seems that their stats should be very comparable. JohnnyT60
I didn't see how BC did against the other common opponents, but judging by the LCM game, it would have made a big difference.
