ANY QUALITY MANAGED DEER LEASES NEAR BEAUMONT?

I've been thinking of getting out of west Texas and finding something within a couple of hours from Beaumont.  Don't want the standard timber lease with 100 members shooting anything that walks.  What is out there?  Anyone?  Thanks

With the Timber companies selling their land as they have been the last cpl of yrs, the days of BIG hunting clubs will soon be a thing of the past. Hardin Co Wildlife Pres >>HAD<< 10,000 acres 4 yrs ago today they are down to less than 4,000 and will loose another 2600 this next yr. WW

That is probably true about the smaller leases. Our lease lost about half of its size five years ago down to just under 1,000 acres. I think the trend is toward more managed leases though and it may be a benefit in the long run. I think it is easier to manage 10 hunters than it is to manage 100 hunters.

I will have a cpl of leases available next yr, both here and in the lakes area. 2 2000+ acre plots in Hardin Co and 1000 acre East of Pineland on the Lake.
