WOS92 Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 Bridge City is giving up 50 points per game in district and 46 per game on the season. Stunning.
exbccards76smom Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 you cannot win games if you do not hit!!!. Several plays that BC players just let Jasper guys go by.
SETXsports Broadcaster Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 give us a call canrdmom for the show tonight

SETXsports Broadcaster Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 do you happen to have the yardage stats?
bevo Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 What has happened to B.C? I have never witness something like this.
Guest jsamp Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 Bridge ran the same play on 1st down every time. Jasper was waiting on it every time. A lot of BC injuries there will be more of that in the future. The same ones come out of the game when BC gets down by 20.Congrats. to #4 for hanging in there all season w/ little blocking. #9 looked good until the head injury (no blocking). Anyone know how many total offenseive yrds BC had? Anybody have any game stats on BC? I never thought BC would go 0-10 but it is starting to look like it. Anyone know if BC has ever went 0-10? Does BC start the sophmore qB the last 4 games. One good thing is BC cut its ints. down.
BearWolf Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 the only thing i have so far is 36 yds passing and less than 10 yds rushing for BC for the game
exbccards76smom Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 I have been thru one 0-10 season, thought I would never have to go thru another one. We are a young team, and there is always next year. But give me a break!! If a play isn't working, why call it again and again??
Guest jsamp Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 #4 ran the opening kick off all the way back to the 3 yrd line. BC then changed their offense. They put no recievers on the field and tried to run the ball in. What the heck was this. Jaspers line men are as follows 260, 240, 270, 240, 260. Why would you try to run the ball up the middle on these guys? I'm no expert on football but I'm also no dummie. If you are facing that size line spread them out. I think BC players are beat down right now and have lost all fight and confidence in themselves. I hope coach Stump can pull them out of it.
exbccards76smom Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 Hopefully, this year's juniors(next year's seniors) will get together like the '00-'01 team did and decided NOT to have a another bad season. That is what it's gonna take. Seniors pulling together to be leaders.
GOT HEART? BadMedicine Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 I have been thru one 0-10 season, thought I would never have to go thru another one. We are a young team, and there is always next year. But give me a break!! If a play isn't working, why call it again and again??There are a few "young" teams in the district.
SETXsports Broadcaster Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 I don't think all of BC's problems lay in the fact that they are a young team. What I saw was a team that was young in fundementels of football. There were several times that a BC player had a Jasper runner dead to right, but never finished off the tackle. If you dont wrap your arms and hold on the runner will just bounce off you and keep going. This happened many times in the game. If the play went away from players it was as if they were no longer in the play and just stopped. We were always told never stop till you hear the whistle. Now I am not sure if BC has been disheartened due to what has happened to them this year, but it's up to the coaches to keep this team together and make sure that no matter what happens they can still build on next year. When young men start quiting or start grumbling about their team it makes it even harder. Big Heck Yeah to #4 he was like the energizer rabbit...took a hit and kept on going and going and going. chins up we have all been thru this some as fans and others as players.....cept WO-S I guess just my two cents
indian01 Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 You have to teach fundamentals from 7th grade up. BC has a great 8th grade team but they are bringing 8-9 people on every play this helps none with teaching tech. It works great at that level but you have to work some on reading and coverage.
exbccards76smom Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 I totally agree with you there!! You have to start teaching in junior high the fundamentals of the game. That is one thing I can give a shout out to Les Johnson for. He started in junior high teaching kids what to do. He,also, would attend junior high school practices.
