Walk-off Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 Bridge City's Lauren Angelle .800 batting average never struck out awesome defense MVP year
softballfreak Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 Bridge City's Lauren Angelle .800 batting average never struck out awesome defense MVP year I'm sure she's above average, but Erica Tindel from PNG is very strong defensively & offensively. I watched the warm-up game between LCM & BC, I believe I saw L. Angelle strike out in the 1st inning as leadoff.
JohnnyT60 Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 Erica Tindel Made some really good defensive plays and was productive on offense. Don't really have any stats.
CRUSHCOACH Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Erica Tindel Very steady and doesn't make mistakes.
bigred75 Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Gotta go with angelle she made plays I have not seen anyone else make this year. Her stats are pretty darn good. So striking out against CT makes you ineligible for SS of the year???? What crack are you on, that would leave no one to pick from for any position..............
CRUSHCOACH Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 No, striking out against CT definitely doesn't exclude you. I didn't get to see BC much at all this year. Evidently, from the way the Coaches in the District voted, Angelle definitely deserves to be mentioned.
JohnnyT60 Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 I believe that the striking out comment was in refernce to walk-off's statement, that she hadn't struck out all year. She obviously is a very good ballplayer, but sometimes supporters can exagerate accomplishments.
sbfan4life Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 Just for kicks and giggles...Here are Lauren's stats - she had a TREMENDOUS season as a soph. Batting AVG. .529 (in District it was .639) SLG % .657 OB% .560 SB 11 SO 3 BB 5 R 25 RBI 12 3B 2 2B 5 H 37 AB 70 G 20 Fielding % .940 PO 13 A 34 E 3 She was also named CO-MVP in District 24-3A as a SOPHOMORE! IMPRESSIVE! :!: Triple threat - speed, bat, glove
bigred75 Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 Thats what I am talking about those are some good numbers. I vote for Angelle.
blt22 Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 I believe Angelle is a good SS and should be considered. She is my #2, my #1 is still Erica Tindel from PNG.
