Well I am from Vidor ,and you guys did take it to us that night.But I wouldn't get carried away about what you would have done to mid-county.It's funny about how you talk after going 1-9 a year ago.And now you have a half of a season played this past year and you are thinking yall are some sort of Football powerhouse. Remember that alot of teams had only 3 days to prepare and yes there were games played,but it just wasn't a true ,pure football season played.Central was talented and yes they won some games,but don't pat yourself on the back too long because football season is just 7 months away.And I don't know about Central,but in Vidor there is no off season..

Didn't Vidor had 20 starters back this past season. Granted Ozen fell to sleep in the 2nd half and Vidor almost won an upset but Central put those hands to them in Vidor

Now unless those 20 starters were all sophs and jrs., Vidor will be thin.....

We had alot of seniors this year.Our top receiver from the previous year did not play until the last two games.We were 3-1 before the Hurricane.Not making excuses but the hurricane did hurt us alot.Like I said in my previous post that the defensive coordinator is gone, and there will be a few more changes this coming year.

But I believe the same athletes that SFA were talking about a year ago beat Central , At Central in the 4th qtr. Therefore Central's record a year ago was 1-9.Keep tryin Jags! What is Central gonna do when all the "Katrina" kids return to LA?.Maybe go back to what they was before the Hurricanes..1-9?

The Katrina kids did move back. Especially a top WR that went back home and didn't play a down for the Jags. No, those were the new and improved Jags that whipped y'all in Vidor........

It's hard to believe they they moved back when there are still kids there.We played yall in October and I guarantee those kids hadn't moved back by then.The kids that Vidor beat on a year ago was the Beaumont Central Jags of old.

But thats is not the point.If you are a good team and know you are a good team then you don't have to go walking around trying to prove it to people.Ask Teams such as Nederland ,Wo-S ,PNG,Barbers Hill.You don't see them have a decent year, and then get on here and bash everyone else..

I am going to tell you like a old Coach told a teammate one time.

The guy scored a TD and was jumping around like crazy..He was excited as one would.But the Old Coach came up to him and told him ,he said "Son act like you been there before"! So what I say to you SFA85. Is "Son act like you been there before".Don't go crazy because yall one 5 or 6 games this year..Act like a champion or a winner.and most of all act like you been there before.

Ya know. The "well, they benefited from Katrina" bit gets kind of old. It smacks of the operator of a Vidor message board who had the nerve to ban me simply because I dared to say that WO-S' football team could have beaten Vidor's last year......WHAT A STRETCH!!!

piratefan, Central can brag and boast because they have been there before. In trying to make you case that this year's team only made the playoffs because they were "Katrina aided" you make it sound like last year was the first time that Central had tasted playoff success.....WRONG!!! The truth is that with the exception of the 2004 1-9 Central team, the Jaguars have made the playoffs every year since they started in 4A in 2002....including a trek to the Regional Finals in 2003.

Anyway, why are you getting on a Jag fan for doing the same thing that many Vidor fans were doing last year? At least they have some track record to go on!

And before you drag out the Hurricane excuse....remember this, EVERY team in this area was affected by Hurricane Rita!!!! The only quality team on your pre-district schedule was BH and they rolled y'all!!!!

Well ,where do I start..First and foremost I can not help what other websites banned you from saying.And it is unfair to to put me in that category of all Vidor fans.

If you would read back to the first page and see that he was smashing Vidor ,and I told him not to pat himself on the back to hard that this year was only a half of a season and next year is only 7 months away.If you noticed he was bashing Mid-county and thats when I brought this up about dont get to cocky.I did not bring up "katrina" until he was saying how they whipeed up on everyone this year.And I told him to remember lats year when they were 1-9.

All I said about the hurricane was it was not like a regular year where you have all week to practice and you watch film and go to your regular routine of a season.And I understand all schools were affected by this .

Just because you have a beef with the operator of a different message board dont take that up with every Vidor fan that you meet..Oh and by the way New Caney wasn't a quality team? You might want to ask around on that one..I believe we one that 28-3.The other game we lost was PNG and with nine seconds left Ozen beat us.I dont mind someone being excited that there team had a good season,but why bash other teams while doing it..

As you would go back and read I congratulated them ,and did say that they beat us.All I said was not to get too excited about that season.

I don't know what you are talking about Ozen being in Mid-county.SFA wrote that they swept mid-county and ran through vidor like a hot knife through Butter.And thats when I said dont get too excited about your season.

I know Vidor has not been some "powerhouse" in football/thats nto a secret.When he was saying How they are the "New Jags" and how much bragging he was doing about sweeping mid-county,thats when i reminded him about there 1-9 season a year ago.
