Grad Fair Oct. 25 prepares December grads for big day

10/15/2007 Lamar University will host its fall Grad Fair 2007 – “Graduation In Sight!†–  from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, in the Wimberly Building at Lamar.

Grad Fair will enable December graduates to take care of all their pre-commencement needs at one time and under one roof. They can apply and pay for graduation, join the alumni organization, purchase caps and gowns, receive important financial aid information, discover job opportunities through the Career Center, order and pay for invitations and class rings and talk with a graduate admissions representative.

Grad Fair is a campus-wide effort, with participation by the graduation coordinator and records staff, career services, financial aid, graduate admissions, the office of alumni affairs and the LU bookstore and its vendors.

“All the right people will be at the fair to answer any questions graduates may have,†said Tuyet Tran, graduation coordinator. “The event is designed to help graduates prepare for their big day.â€
