shooter Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 KFDM Coop,I think they will. They bring back a team that was very competitive in district 21-3A (9-5) an didn't lose any key players. They have made significant improvements in their basketball weight room, had kids play in Spring and Summer basketball leagues and two of their key players, Dominique Bailley & Kwame Spikes played AAU ball. Keep in mind they will bring up several players from the JV that won 38 games over the past two years and will have great depth at the guard position. Expect them to run on offense and press on defense for 32 minutes (and in OT if necessary) - They will suprise some folks, but I think the Jasper fans and coaches are expecting great things from this group.
Guest catfever Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 Didn't lose any significant players? They had 6-8 seniors. You mean to tell me none of them were of any significance. I doubt that. 2 or three of them made the all district team. Yes, the Bailey kid is very good, but don't just disregard every other kids that played on that team last year. They will need some kids from the JV to step up and fill the shoes of seniors that graduated. They will still be very competitive, but they did have some loses from last year.
