UNLV can you please give your take on the conference realigment in 2010?

Just a few things I've read on other boards.

C-USA

Big East

Schools moving to Division I FBS.

Schools without a conference presently.

Louisiana Tech and TSU are talking a possible move to the WAC.

Keep in mind 1 year ago I would have answered differently vs tonight. 2 years ago different than 1 year ago.

CUSA will lose half it's teams. CUSA might merge with Sunbelt and a new name. Sunbelt USA maybe. FCS teams like Georgia Southern will join, maybe App st, etc...The geographic center will shift east. CUSA west teams will join the SWC. La tech joins the SWC.

Now I hear talk of UT, aggies, and OU flirting with the SEC.

I think LU will end up in a conference with UNT, Tech, Tulsa, Rice, SMU...

UH will get a BCS call up....Big 12.

SHSU will drop to DIII.....just in case Terror is creeping around this forum.

I think the min seating capacity qualification for Div-1a (FBS) is 15000. Either actual attendance of games or ticket sales.

So, for Lamar it would truly need to get community support for that level.

I know I'm looking forward to being a family season ticket holder.  In fact, it looks like Lamar is on the right track to get football back and I'm pleased they started the women's soccer program.  I went ahead and joined the Cardinal Club recently and sent in my company matching contribution form.  If you are interested, get out the support and lets help this happen.
