So if PNG makes the playoffs, they are large school and would have to play Galena Park ?  So does the winner of our district play the winner of the other district ?  Or does the first place team play the 3rd place team from the other district ?  I dont know how this works for pairing in playoff games to well.

If PN-G makes the playoffs they will be going as the big school which only sends one school. Therefore we would be playing the largest playoff qualifying school in that district regardless of place. At this point it is almost a gaurantee that it will be Galena Park. I am not sure what they have this year but they are undefeated and did beat Crosby. Personally I feel if we played Crosby again we would beat them with our offense clicking. We were trying to run the spread that game and struggled executing.

OK thanks !!!  I havent heard anything regarding Galena Park and how good they are.  I agree if we continue to fire on all cylinders PNG has a good chance of going deep.  They just have to stay focused and fine tune themselves for post season.  I know the HC will have them ready.

I feel PNG is not getting over anxious.  MB has them focused on one game at a time.  I know a lot of folks think Vidor an easy win, but you can bet that PNG is NOT taking them lightly.  One thing I know about this team, is that they work together, believe in themselves, and know that each week is a test.  This keeps them humbled, and able to go out there, play their hearts out, and come away with the wins.  Honor, Pride, Tradition...that sums it up for the PNG Indians!  Keep it up guys, we're all behind you!

We have schools in our district that may only lose 2 games in district and they will NOT make the playoffs, yet someone with 2 or less wins WILL go?  EDITED:  I read another post that shows when the season is over, they will have won 4 games, so...my bad...

Guest TravelingBandsman

That's too extensive to use as legitimate yet. Give it another 2 weeks. By Week 10, it will be much easier to tell. Good chart though.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

    • Been said before but you’d think with a program that WOS has had the last 4 decades, the history and traditions it has, it would have attracted a few high caliber quality coaches from strong programs.  That didn’t happen. Which leads me to believe it’s small town politics mainly with the school board that kept any from applying.  Schools like Gilmer, Southlake Carroll, Celina, Austin Westlake and others can have a new HC step in and keep the train rolling pretty much without missing a beat.
    • Actually, first time since 1936 to advance to this round.....

    • Y’all had it good for a long time… it’s pretty clear to see that it’s over. West Orange isn’t some blessed zip code that’s always going to win… y’all just had lighting in a bottle for a long time.    HH isn’t a bad coach, he’s just not as good as your last two. Very, very few are. The question is whether or not y’all can attract another HOF caliber coach to bring the program back to dominance-which isn’t guaranteed.    I think the future involves y’all mixing it up for DCs in some years, making the playoffs  most, then eventually dropping to 3A D1 and having more success down there.    No Thanksgiving practices in your future, though. At this point the chain is broken. There are no kids left who have any time under that level of coaching. I just don’t see things getting better.
    • Angleton fans are going all out in support. There is a tailgate in the early afternoon Friday at a local car dealership, followed by a send-off parade. College Station has only had 3 turnovers all season but Angleton has 26 takeaways so something has to give.
