Because he said something to either the ref or the Silsbee player that called him a fat***

Ohh wow!  Hard to say what happened.  We don’t know if that Raider fan was heckling the players and the player felt the need to retaliate.  Still about respect and one of the coaches should’ve gotten on him.  But if that fan was chirping with the refs, then I can see LPD escorting him out...

Look, Silsbee had a wake up call last game and they weren’t going to overlook Lumberton and Mr. McClure.  It is a testament to how far Mitchell has brought this program that this was considered a big game for Silsbee (that and the great divide in this district).

Silsbee seems to be getting better each game, which is what you would expect from a young team with a veteran coach.  They still can be beaten in this district if they don’t come ready to play.  But I think tonight showed us that if they do have their heads on straight, young as they are, they are still the big dog in this district by a good bit.

On a side note, good to hear you on the call again @AggiesAreWe

McClure was probably 49 out of 50 from the free throw line. He did step it up a bit in the 3rd quarter. Honestly he didn't look like he wanted the ball in the first half, though.

That other big kid Lumberton had was going off for a few minutes at first, then disappeared.

I was proud of the way we played tonight. Lots of players made big contributions that weren't named Miller or Harris. Two in particular were Lamarcus Bottley (another freshman) and Mason Brisbane. They made big defensive stops to pad that lead going into half time. Trey Haynes stepped up big time in the 4th. Gilder was also big tonight and provided the senior leadership this team sometimes needs. It was a great all around team effort.

Really getting sick and tired of people crying about our players. You either need to get tougher, or go watch some other less physical sport. I'm done hearing it.

There's teams out there that will do you a lot more "dirty" than Silsbee. What are you gonna do when/if you play one of them? Fold and complain I guess.

I sat right behind the Raider bench and Coach Mitchell himself told his kids to stop being soft.

HJ troll.  McClure is better than any Hawk in quite some time.

Parquet a current starter on a Pac-12 team? That was only 5 years ago he was at HJ and he graduated in 2018. McClure is a really good player that scraps to get tons of rebounds and is an excellent free throw shooter if tonight is a consistent thing for him. With this being said you would think with McClure's clear dominance it would have led to Lumberton beating HJ one of these last two years.

Kid is in high school just because he have an off night one game don’t mean anything I do believe if you the best hands down you prove it every game as a competitor but less understand this a high school kid and he is human if he didn’t play well it’s ok I’m sure he will remember this game and be ready next time

I forgot about West Brook’s Parquet.  But yes, if you count him as a Hawk (and he certainly doesn’t), Eli is definitely better.  If you don’t count Parquet, you would go back to Kenyon probably.  Yes, I’m skipping Zjori.  And I would bet Brock averages more than 6 & 3 for his career as a Cardinal.
