EAGLE07 Posted November 2, 2007 Report Posted November 2, 2007 I am convinced that BH should be on this list.
setxsportswhizz08 Posted November 2, 2007 Report Posted November 2, 2007 I am convinced that BH should be on this list. no offense, but there are other teams in texas than BH.
EAGLE07 Posted November 6, 2007 Report Posted November 6, 2007 You are correct, BIGNED. In 4A, there are about 10-15 of them. You wanna start the list, I'll follow. 8)In no particular order.
Guest Orangeboy Posted November 6, 2007 Report Posted November 6, 2007 The reason Silsbee can't be thrown in there is because of pitching. If Skinner can get his act together, then you throw them in there. If he doesn't step up, I don't know who else they have to go to. However, I would say that Silsbee has the potential, if things go there way to have a good season, just probably not in the top two of the district.Well we saw Treece carry an HJ team last year on his shoulders, why couldn't a kid like McDonald at Silsbee do the same. They also have their entire infield coming back.

EAGLE07 Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 Probably closer to 150+..I'm talking about the teams with a chance to win it all.
hawkeye07 Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 If you are asking what teams have a chance to win the region in 4a. It is way to early to be talking to much about that. However since you asked. I would say the only two teams from SETX with a real chance would be BH and PNG. The other teams from this area don't really have enough pitching. Mont. and Brenham will be those two teams biggest hurdle as they too will have very good pitching.

EAGLE07 Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 Lamar Consolidated will be strong again. Angleton returns almost their entire team that went to the second round of the playoffs last year. I agree that Montgomery and Brenham will be in the picture again also.
McLovin Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Well we saw Treece carry an HJ team last year on his shoulders, why couldn't a kid like McDonald at Silsbee do the same. They also have their entire infield coming back.Yes.

40water Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 I'm not convinced that HJ should be included on this list. I know they have a great coach and a good group of core players returning, but I don't see their pitching being as strong as the top two. Could I be wrong, yes. Could they upset people, yes, but I'm just not ready to include them with Jasper and BC yet.if i remember correctly sir hj did beat jasper, the state champs, at your field. so i think its safe to say that hj can be included with jasper and bc.
Lcm Bear 04 #77 Posted November 13, 2007 Report Posted November 13, 2007 LCM/PNGI think LCM will play gorilla ball again this year... I mean look at what Griffith has to put at the plate.Tim BerryBen JonesChad RichardMatt JohnsonStephen CloeranDallas BrownJohn (chik chik) Gunn
The Voice Posted November 13, 2007 Report Posted November 13, 2007 LCM is looking strong on paper. Hard work in the winter will seperate the men from the boys. By the way it's Dallas " Judge " Brown. Here come the judge, her come the judge! All rise!
PANTHERPLAYA09 Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 Im not sure about 22-3A......Shepherd should get better from last yearTarkington will be good like alwaysSplendora..im not sure but I think they have a couple of good pitchers backLiberty lost some seniors but nothing they cant replace, should be in the mix
Guest etbu Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 no offense, but there are other teams in texas than BH.Ah come on.
Terrier Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 LCM, PNG, Vidor, Nederland. Any one of these teams could win the district and it wouldn't be a surprise. There is not much difference between any of them. They all will rely heavily on Juniors this season for the majority of their line ups. It should be a fascinating race.
BH Warthog Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 21-4a Barbers Hill/HuffmanBh number one Hufman 2 Bh is very good this year
WeBleedMaroon Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 silsbee/ jaspersilsbee only lost 2 starters and a pitcherthe other pitchers have a lot of experience and mcdonald is one of the bestthe catcher has been filled in nicely by steven birdand center field has a lot of options in which to choose fromsilsbee brings a lot of speed to the table and a lot of talenttoo many weapons not be a selection
setxsportswhizz08 Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 LCM/Vidor/PNG...this district you cant really chose two, but here are the top 3.Barbers Hill/HuffmanJasper/Bridge Citythese teams will most likely appear in the '08 playoffs.
