Wildcatters continue preparations for Home Opener this Saturday

BEAUMONT, TX (Oct. 24, 2007) – With the 2007-08 Home Opener just days away the Wildcatters roster changed shape on Wednesday as forward Paul Caponigri was traded to Stockton for future considerations and Troy Riddle was called up by AHL Houston.

Caponigri, 28, enters his fourth full professional season, his first in the ECHL since 2005-06. Caponigri tallied 12 goals and 15 assists while accumulating 93 PIM in 54 regular season games with Chicago and Kalamazoo in 2006-07.

Caponigri had one assist in two games this season for the Wildcatters.

Riddle’s hot start for the Wildcatters saw rewards today as the forward, who has two goals, an assist, and a +1 rating in two games for the ‘Catters got a call up to AHL Houston.

Riddle,26, was acquired via trade from Trenton earlier this month. He scored 65 points (28-37-65) in 68 games for Trenton last season and was scoreless in three games with AHL Philadelphia.
