KFDM COOP Posted October 25, 2007 Author Report Posted October 25, 2007 the astrodome for a triple header of play off football great way to spend a saturdaycant believe it will no longer be used for footballI agree!
Guest Orangeboy Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 No place like the dome. That's the only time I can get in that place now. As nice as Minute Maid is I miss the Dome.
PNG1992 Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Astrodome, and it isnt even close. The 99' PNG playoff run was a thrilled pack month of football. That weekend run to Houston seemed like a drive around the block that year.
UTfanatic Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Rice Stadium,Better seating, better security, and better parking. Better field for the players
AggiesAreWe Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Tiger Stadium in Silsbee. Gotta put in a plug for the small schools that play their playoff games there.Dome and Kyle Field, many memories.
83_Alumni Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Astrodome was every kids dream, we are going to the Dome!!
BMTSoulja1 Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Kyle field, hands down. Went to an Ozen playoff game a few years ago there and the stadium was Niiiiiiiiiiiiice! The atmosphere was electric.
southern-thunder Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 You guys have got to be kidding about the dome!! it is the most horrible place, the field is terrible the turf has holes in it and you can hear metal clanks as you walk around on it. Aldine thorn is a great place, Sam Houston has great atmosphere, as well as SFA. But I think I will have to agree there is nothing like Kyle Field it is electric!! And Texas Stadium is not too shabby either.
BMTSoulja1 Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Yea, I like Thorn Stadium too. That's our home away from home! ;D
JMay Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 There nothing like a triple header in the 'Dome. It didn't matter who you were going to watch it was going to be fun. Rice Stadium has to be my new favorite, and Stallworth in Baytown has made some pretty good improvements.
bulldawg64 Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 the astrodome was great you could spend all day watching games,if it was raining and cold outyou were always comfortable, i like rice stadium also they are not to far to drive also.
ecdadx3 Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Kyle Field is the best. Also, the Waco ISD stadium is very nice.
Guest TravelingBandsman Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 If they get in, I hope Dayton goes far enough in the playoffs to play at Berry Stadium that the Cy-Fair schools play at. That'd be a great place to go to.
Guest coachhooker Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 there was nothing like the dome all day saturday games, you always got to see a school you have never seen play and atleast 1 or more state games a year.

HORNSFAN86 Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 I went to SFA to watch Newton beat Daingerfield for the 3A State Title. That was a great venueand not too far away.
Guest maverick24 Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 The L-TRAIN does not care we just want to get in so we dont have to hear " HAVE YALL EVER MADE THE PLAYOFFS"
PURPLE 4EVER Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Whenever I hear Cherokee I remember back to all the times that song was sung in unison by over 20,000 PN-G fans in the Dome. No other school had such a huge fan base in that stadium. Although I have heard the field conditions were not the best, nothing beat the atmosphere of a game in the Astrodome.Since the Astrodome is no longer available....Stallworth stadium with the jumbotron and the concourse that gives you a ground level view of the game is great.Cy Fair's stadium is top notch.
