I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you haven't actually adopted any of those unwanted kids that were actually born. Heck, I'd doubt that you've dug into your wallet and donated the funds to cover the first adoption, either. You’re way off base there. Taking a babies life whether or not you adopt a child doesn’t make it not murder. My mom adopted 3. Had several other that were foster kids. One was black. And this was in the 70’s in Texas. Not real common. My grandmother was the head of Birthright in Beaumont for a lot of years. I support and have donated time and money to helping those who want to adopt a child or not abort a child. It’s wrong no matter how you look at it. Chester86 1 Quote

As far as Roe V wade being revisited, you don't have a clue what you're talking about. I'm sure glad you weren't making the call on slavery way back when, your response would have been, let it go, it's past history and is here to stay...Get over it! A more accurate analogy would be YOU arguing in 1920 that we needed to return to slavery, because Jesus tells us in the Bible how to treat our slaves. Quote

Sore loser? Do not care? The election was stolen and President Trump should never recognize the Biden Presidency and Administration? President Trump should man-up and attend? Show some leadership and make a gesture to heal America? The last time a President did not attend a successor’s inauguration was 1974 when President Nixon left the White House under the cloud of Watergate. President Nixon did not attend the swearing-in of President Ford. Before that, unless you count those that died in office, e.g., Presidents Kennedy, Roosevelt, Harding, McKinley, and Garfield, you have to go back to President Andrew Johnson skipping the inauguration of President Ulysses S. Grant in 1869. Out of respect for the office and to uphold an example of decency, President Trump should attend. Just my 0.02 cents. After President Carter lost and he carried the burden of Americans held hostage in Iran along with the burden of a terrible economy that had divided our country, he attended the inauguration of President Reagan. When President George H.W. Bush lost, he attended the inauguration of President Clinton. Even after Bush v. Gore and hanging chads, President Clinton attended the inauguration of President George W. Bush. President George W. Bush attended the swearing-in of President Obama and President Obama attended the inauguration of President Trump. Even with many differences, those men did the decent thing and showed the world that Americans overcame divisions and peacefully transitioned power. That we were still united through thick and thin. Again, out of respect for the office, I think President Trump should reconsider. What do you think? In two different books, I read where Presidents Bush #41 and #43 left letters in the Oval Office welcoming Presidents Clinton and Obama and giving them words of encouragement and healing. Those types of gestures to heal the divisions within the United States now seem long gone. I hope we can return to the days where our days of unity outnumber our days of division. I'm guessing a few responses will be: (1) the election was stolen, no need to attend; (2) attendance is not required under the Constitution; and, (3) Too little, too late...Pelosi started this mess...where were the olive branches of peace and unity when President Trump held the keys to the White House? Perhaps not...maybe I'll be surprised. Let's hear it. Thanks. Peace. The company you keep says alot about you I've always been told. Johnson is probably the worst president we've ever had and Nixon is in the top 10. He needs to go, any decent man would. Quote

Ty Cobb Posted January 12, 2021 Report Posted January 12, 2021 President Trump doesn’t owe these sorry DEMONcrats anything. They fought him over everything the last 4 years and it started before he was even sworn into office. The FAKE impeachment was talked about immediately. I wish he would show up, shoot all of the sorry politicians, both sides, the middle finger and walk off!!! Chester86 1 Quote

Hagar Posted January 12, 2021 Report Posted January 12, 2021 As posted before, I’ve never liked Trump the Man. Until I heard him campaigning, ignoring PC, I still wasn’t a fan. That got my attention, but not my primary vote. Now, I rate him as one of the best Presidents, if not the best, in my 75 years. He’s still crud, brash and a loud mouth rich yankee, and will never act Presidential, but instead, he walks the walk. As for him going to the inauguration, I didn’t expect him too. After the way the Democrats have treated him (and some Republicans), and their hunting dogs (the MSM), I can understand him not going. After putting up with then treating him like 💩 for 4 years, including, but not excluded too, Russian Collusion, Impeachment, and a potential stolen election, no one but a fool would go, tradtion or no tradition. Only government can take perfectly good paper, cover it with perfectly good ink and make the combination worthless. - Milton Friedman If you haven’t realized it yet, there are several ways to fix “inequalities” that exist because some people have more money than others. You can implement aggressive tax policies that will result in the redistribution of wealth, or you can just implement fiscal policies that make the first group’s money worthless. For example, $100,000 in the bank will buy 50k $2 hamburgers. $100,000 in the bank will only buy 20k $5 burgers... hence the real push for $15/hour.... it’s not just about a bump in wages for the working poor, it’s about eating the rich. Besides that, nobody talks about what’s going to happen to Grandma’s social security.... we can’t afford to double that. She’s gonna get stuck paying twice as much for her consumables without any substantial bump in her income. But by all means.... raise that minimum wage... it’ll fix everything. Quote
