Friday at EC i would think.

Makes sense however there was talk that if HI could get their stadium

playable that they would play at home Saturday afternoon.

What's happened down there in High Island? Why is their stadium damaged? Is Sabine Pass in the same situation?

Hurricane caused considerable damage to High Island stadium,

as far as I know Sabine Pass did not suffer any major damage.

That's depressing. I remember last year they were having trouble keeping a team. Galveston has taken a lot of area that High Island could have used to get kids in their schools. Places like Gilchrist, and Crystal Beach are closer to High Island than they are to Galveston. I think those areas should be part of HIISD. I think I do remember a fundraiser to give to the High Island program.

Everyone is very excited about the game on Saturday afternoon.  The Cardinals & Sharks are looking for their first district win and this game will be just as important to the two schools as any other game in the state.  The weather should be nice, so come on out and join us for our Homecoming celebration.
