Arguably their best player has been out the past few games.  Much like HF has been missing their best two players the past few games.  Injuries, not Covid.  
 

Injuries to key players are part of sports but still tough to overcome, especially in HS.

Poster above is correct.  Injuries and Covid are all part of the equation and are not an excuse that should carry any weight.  You play with who is available and those guys have to get the job done.

Yes, the district’s co-offensive mvp last year.  I said “arguably” their best player above because I really, really like their young PG.  But despite what the coach says above, it is extremely hard to replace your leading scorer at any level, and certainly at the HS level.  And then you have intangibles such as senior leadership (kid who is hurt is a senior and a multi-year starter) that are hard to quantify but can have a huge impact nonetheless.
