UH OH...

Nederland High School 1994

Vidor High School has turned in 1989

Beaumont Central High School 1758

looks like vidor and nederland are on the way up.

just curious where you heard those numbers from (i heard Nederland has about 1500 or so) even if those are real both Vidor and Nederland will likely stay 4A with the cutoff number being over 2000 this time but you never know with the UIL

Something to consider: 1A had a cutoff at 194 last realignment.  While that provided for only 149 11 man football teams,  it created 354 basketball teams.  Track is even more of a nightmare with the standard district having 14.  If they raise tha 1A cutoff,  you could have well over 400 teams competing in track and basketball.  HD turned in 195, WH - 166, Evadale - <160

well ive heard that Nederland has about 1500 or so that sounds a bit more accurate than 1994

well with about 30,000 people living in the nederland school district boundaries,

and about 25,000 people living in the Vidor school district boundaries,

its not safe to bet on anything.

Vidor is growing 2 tmes faster than people think it is,

and nederland has always been high.
