Guest abovetherim Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 Well, it's no new news on the men's side but I've heard Coach Tidwell expects to sign a class better than the one he signed in the spring and summer. One is a 6-1 PG. Yes, I said 6-1 female PG. She is expected to be every bit as good as the lady from Spain.
UNLV Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 Sounds mad nasty....That means real good... ;D
Guest coachacola Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 I hope Lamar can keep him for more than a couple of years.
UNLV Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 I hope Lamar can keep him for more than a couple of years.I worry about that all the time. If the class is young, maybe he would stay to see if they mature to NC quality.
Guest coachacola Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 A move up to a better conference would help keep him and Roc around longer. But with Tidwell's enthusiasm and attitude I can see him replacing Tubbs as Lamar AD down the road.

Guest abovetherim Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 Larry Tidwell spoke at the Cardinal Club Board of Directors Meeting today. Coach Tidwell has commitment from a European 6-1 PG I mentioned earlier. She is rumored to be better than Tamara Abalde. He also has commitments from another player over 6-2. The class is expected to be better than this past class Coach Tidwell gave the folk a tour of his office and the Ladies locker-room facilities. He has the picture of the Lamar versus LSU game in the Montagne when it was packed. He said he was going to pack that place just like it was for that game and I believe that man!
Guest coachacola Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 If Lamar can get good crowds for both the men's and women's games then that will bring in a lot of money. On top of that if they start making the NCAA tourney then that's more money coming in. The Montagne Center should be a fun place to be again.
UNLV Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 We as fans should help LU bring in more people to the games. I always drag a few extras with me and I already have a few recruits agreeing to a women's game. Like Larry and Roc, we should recruit also.
Guest mffl Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Are these recruits any good???Edit: Also i hear J'Covan Brown might be committing to Texas tonight per orangebloods.com
