Has Covid Killed the Season??

I’ve been on this board for years and never seen it so quiet. What’s killed the chatter? Is is it Covid or just the overall drop off in play in the area?? In a normal season the post are updated several times an hour, this year they stay up for days. I miss the old board 😂😂

Maybe not being able to go to games has slowed the chatter down. Maybe the haters for some teams have gotten a soft heart because of the pandemic. Maybe teams are not dominant as years past. Maybe there just not that much to talk about. Maybe it’s just a small trend. Ok, I’m running out of maybes.

And would at least be in the conversation as most dominant in most every year we’ve had for some time.  They still have a lot they need to accomplish to go down as one of THE teams but they could hang with MOST any I have seen in this area (at a minimum).

I'm just happy we've managed to have a season at all this year.

I'm sure things being a little off do to covid has something to do with it. Silsbee fans are usually pretty active here, but we kinda stay a bit quieter when we feel like we're alone.

Some teams not being district rivals anymore doesn't help either.

If BU and Hightower do what is expected of them in the playoffs, that Regional Finals game for Region 3 will be the HOTTEST TICKET in the area.

Hasn’t killed it but has wounded it. Miss the crowds. Refs can spot you out too easy when you encourage them. Lol

That’s the one everyone wants to see. And Lancaster will likely be waiting in SA.  I hear they have had a couple of kids transfer in since the season started.  Of course, they are already suited up and playing.  And their PG, A&M signee Wade Taylor is a pg’s pg.  That kid is something else.

Hey TxHoops, do you know who Argyle (17-1) lost to this year.  TABC has them with 1 loss.

They may have gotten a late start and had to forfeit one because they won state again in football 😂😂😂

Their one loss was to 5A #15 ranked Highland Park.  And whs is correct - that loss was in November, while Argyle was also still playing football.

The most important stat is Freethrows and Its hurt BU the last couple years and this year looks no different from looking at Stats.🥶

and interval free throws thrown in during conditioning 

both should be done in preseason every day

The games I’ve actually seen they appears to shoot FT’s well.  Do you have a ball park of the team FT %?

Also check ft % for 2nd qtr and 4th qtr.
