Racism at it's most definitive.

I think that every artist that has ever uttered this word needs to be canceled, without exception.  No matter what shade they are.

"B-b-b-but... it's a term of endearment between black people when they say it.  You don't understand.  We took ownership of that word."

So some white guy uses it as a term of endearment, not a slur, to one of his white friends and he's canceled.

I don't care if they hammer this guy for using it, but be fair....

I have a BIG problem with it. It’s a stupid word. Who cares. He shouldn’t be ruined over it.

The word is bad or it's not.  But you can't proclaim the word to be a term of endearment, then punish somebody else who's clearly using it the same way.

But if you ask, THEY'RE the ones being oppressed, lol.

Not sure, but I believe he was on his property when he said it, not during a concert.  So our new socialist society is going to dictate what can be said on “your” property.  Welcome to the to Democrat/Commie America!!!

My problem isn't even so much if he gets in trouble.  My problem is when people try to say it's okay if this guy uses it as a term or endearment, but THAT guy needs to be punished for using it as a term of endearment.

At that point it has nothing to do with anything other than wanting to punish someone because of the color of their skin.... which is racism at its finest, IMO>

Woman call themselves the b word all the time. Still isn’t smart for me to call them that. The n word is more age than race blacks over 40 tend to use the word less then those under 40. I’m 28 and I haven’t came across a white Mexican Asian my age that don’t use the word as much or more than me. My age group fight over race way way way less than you old folks.

Haven't noticed any old folks at the race riots (peaceful protests) that have been going on for the last year.

I don't recall anybody losing their job over using that "b" word.

Have you ever seen kid hit their brother over and over and finally get hit back, then come crying and wailing "he HIT me!!!"  That's black people and the "n" word.

I think the thing that annoys me the most about this particular situation is that we've heard for years that we (whitey) don't understand that it's a term of endearment among blacks, but the worst epithet possible when used against black people.   Even if you're racist enough to believe that, that's not the case here.  This guy was literally using it as a term of endearment to a non-black, but it's still racist according to the thought police.

Nobody should be using it, period.

I think everyone should be using it. “And if ya don’t know, now you know _ _ _ _ _” .  - Notorious BIG

Mr Wallen will be okay.  There are probably more fans of that genre of music who are less offended with the use of that word (even with the hard R) than there are of criticizing a President for entering a war.  Even when that war, by most accounts, ended up being a horrible decision.

It’s a word that hold a lot to a lot of people my mom would slap me if I used it around her. At the end of the day its a word. I don’t use slurs whites call themselves slurs Mexicans call them selves etc... And I’m not complaining about it. But context is big I wouldn’t care personally because like I said I hear whites say it all day everyday.

I have no doubt he does.  But people apparently like his music (I didn’t even know who he was before this).  And I predict he will recover.  In the end, if he can sell records (or I guess if his music is downloaded in this day and age), he will land on his feet.  He’s not okay now, but he will be.

You nay be right. I’m just saying it’s unnecessary in the first place.
