No, I knew the location was accurate, I just hope we did not pass on a closer location for the game. That's a trek on a Thursday night.

I believe Kingwood HS was closer to Baytown than Port Arthur...

Maybe so, but were those places scooped up over the weekend by games where the opponents were known going into the weekend?  What makes it more difficult is this year, venues are not as likely to host doubleheaders.....if they choose to host at all.

Maybe they was thinking about traffic on 59 on a Thursday afternoon vs traffic on 10 to 73 on a Thursday afternoon.  East Chambers would've been closer but I think HJ already playing there Thursday.

Why is everyone wanting to play on Thursday? Is it because of refs and with the boys already playing on friday there isnt enough or is it because of the holiday weekend?

The number of schools willing to host is VERY minimal....  With boys still playing.... some districts playing thursday games, make up games and seeding games...... finding gyms for games HAS BEEN CRAZY!  This year has been tougher than the last 10 years combined from the coaching side....   I thought at the beginning of the year, there would be tons of teams flipping for home and home...

There may be regional tournament games that end up as a flip for home and home....
