BADSANTA Posted February 10, 2021 Report Posted February 10, 2021 I dont recall Kountze basketball doing much in the 80s and made the turn around when Coach Green took over around 1994. That team with Lowe and McDaniel was pretty good. The Josh Hancock and Chris Miller team made it to state in the late 90s. Over the past 31 years 3 titles and quite a few trips to state have been great but these are some dark basketball times for Kountze. Quote
whsalum Posted February 10, 2021 Report Posted February 10, 2021 Coach Tate had some good clubs in Kountze years ago but the foundation for Kountze basketball in my opinion is Coach Williams. One of the best coaches to ever come through SE Texas and an even better man. I agree the Lions are on hard times now. The group coming will make them better but not nearly what they were during their glory days. Quote
