bullets13 Posted November 2, 2007 Report Posted November 2, 2007 i don't really think that he's that big of an asset next year. he's a freakin' fossil. i know he won 3 games this year in the playoffs, but he had a ridiculous amount of run support. now i know he didn't give up many runs (with the exception of the 5 runs he gave up to cleveland in game 2), but the pressure's off when you're winning games 9-1 and 12-2. he had average numbers this year, and had several games where he looked pretty bad. his ERA wasn't awful, but to go 9-8 with that lineup batting for you isn't good. oh yeah, he also had injury problems, probably due to osteoperosis or a faulty hip replacement. i'm sure someone will give him a fat contract, but if i were a GM i'd probably have to pass. no word on whether or not the blood on his adult depends diaper during the world series was authentic, or just a ploy to fire up his team.
Guest Orangeboy Posted November 3, 2007 Report Posted November 3, 2007 I don't care if he's 80 and pushing up daises. He's better than Woody Williams and Jason Jennings.

He's better than Woody Williams and Jason Jennings.you have a good point, but i have a feeling he's gonna want the type of money that he was actually good enough to earn three or four years ago.
