WOS87
Sorry for the length of the image but it shows all teams ever to win a state championship in UIL 11-man football all-time since 1920... The numbers in the columns from left to right are:Ch - State ChampionshipsFn - Losses in the State FinalsSm - Losses in the SemifinalsQu - Losses in the Quarterfinals16 - Losses in the round of 1632 - Losses in the round of 32 64 - Losses in the round of 64 for every playoff appearance in each programs historyThe complete table is over in the historical section but here's the top 500, which includes every program ever to make it to the semifinals at least once since 1920, any year, any classification.197 different schools have won at least one state title313 different schools have played in a state championship game488 different schools have played in a state semifinal game
PURPLE 4EVER
Sure is nice noticing the team from south east Texas that is on top of that list....Hopefully one of the teams from 22-4A can get some playoff magic and make a run to the finals. WOS95
hey thats some great stuff WOS87. that info really puts into perspective just how difficult it is to win a state championship, or to even get the opportunity to play for one. WOS87
Here's the updated version with programs ranked by total points rather than just by furthest advancement. It includes all games played through the end of thee 2007 playoffs. Southeast Texas continues to hold quite a few spots in the upper echelon... the entire list contains almost 1200 different schools so making the top 250 is top 20%#20 - TJ#28 - PNG#38 - Newton#61 - Nederland#65 - Burkeville#69 - WOS#86 - Barbers Hill#95 - Baytown Lee#125 - Jasper#139 - Hull-Daisetta#178 - Bridge City#195 - Beaumont Hebert#241 - West Brook#265 - Beaumont High#298 - Beaumont French#334 - Dayton#337 - Pt Arthur SFA#356 - Silsbee#382 - Liberty#395 - High Island#418 - Hamshire-Fannett#422 - Baytown Sterling

WOS87
Did he say TJ??? As in Thomas Jefferson? I thought the last chart was the 07 season. That would be Memorial woudn't it?No, I meant TJ. TJ's playoff record is still #20 in the state despite it not being around for the past 7 years. Memorial started over from scratch..... and has not accumulated enough points to make the top 500 yet. The only thing the new chart has to do with the 2007 season is that the 2007 playoff results have been factored in for all of those programs that participated. Any program, past or present, that has qualified for the playoffs is included in the rankings (notice Hebert, French and SFA all being up there as well....)
