New coach Perry Clark, the former head man at Miami and Tulane, does get back 7-foot conference player of the year Chris Daniels who toyed with leaving for the NBA. ... Lamar's top player is Lamar. Senior forward Lamar Sanders of the Cardinals is the league's leading returning rebounder. ... Sam Houston State lost three starters but all-conference forward Ryan Bright is back. He should be helped up front by John Gardiner, a starter in 2005-06 who missed last season with a knee injury .
