Fairfield 64 Brownfield 68 3a girls championship final

Game went into over time tied 60-60 brownfield hit next 3 shots to go up by 6 and ran off a lot of clock before Fairfield could foul. Brownfield up by 2 with 15 secs got fouled with a 1and1 hit both shots. FairField couldn't get a shot off as time expired

wow.  defending 4a champs can't repeat in 3a.

never heard of brownfield, but found them on the UIL site.  two crazy things...

1) they don't have a senior on their roster this year

2) their first round playoff game was a blowout.  following that they won their playoff games by 2, 2, 7, 5, 3, and 4 points.  Don't know if I've ever seen a run like that.

Seems like it was just meant to be with close games like that
