Does anyone know how they do these finalist selections? Some kids really stood out this year that should be on the list

AAW can explain this as he has been on the WRS committee before (and might be this year as well).  Nominations are accepted from area coaches (I think the # of nominations is 2 but that is more of a guideline than a rule).  Those nominations are then poured over by a committee that sets the finalists.

Correct.

I am a WRS voter. Coaches nominate an offensive and a defensive player from their team. (not all coaches nominate a player and some only nominate an offensive or defensive player, not both). The voters are sent the list of nominations and we voters (all local media folk) vote the four finalists for offense and defense. The list includes stats for each player. Then after the finalists are determined, we are sent that list and we vote the winners for offense and defense.

I believe there are 12 of us that vote.
