First off, I can't "right" a wrong (that wasn't done by me) by paying somebody who wasn't the wronged party.Β  I literally saw President Obama in an interview a few weeks ago saying that payments to black people (regardless of whether their ancestors were slaves, or if the person in 2021 moved here from wherever two years ago) were absolutely necessary.Β Β

The last article that I read indicated that the plan will be to use "refundable tax credits" to straighten out the inequities caused by generations' worth of bad decisions.... pardon me, I meant to say "oppression."Β  In short, black people won't pay taxes, but rather white people will, and a portion of that tax bill will be gifted to black people because of the color of their skin under the guise of "righting a wrong."

And that's when the troubles will start for real, I believe.Β  There are some people who have forgotten that we aren't descended from fearful men, and I think they're going to figure that out the hard way.Β

Don’t some people already get tax equality with earned income credit, you know, like paying in $1600 and getting back $8000?

See the Democrats, in their effort to turn our Country into a Socialist/Communist nation, is willing to spend Billions to buy votes. Β Since that’s the case, here’s my Solution to who gets it. Β First, imagine the cost of figuring out who are descendants of slaves and who aren’t? Β It’d be astronomical. Β The answer, give everyone, white & black, a set amount. Β Now everyone is happy. Β The Country is broke but we’re all happy, & broke

Let’s see who else needs reparations. Β All veterans who put their lives on the line - Can you imagine what the Germans would’ve done to the blacks had they won WW-II? Β Blacks don’t fit into the Aryan race. Β All the farmers and cattlemen who keep us from starving. Β All the truck drivers. Β Heck, if I go on, I’ll be just about back to everybody again. 🀭🀭🀭

Didn't the Japanese in this country receive reparations after WW2?

Did he post anything about black and white? Β There you go injecting race!! Β It would make sense if there are more white ppl than blacks, don’t you think? Β If you are able to grasp that concept!

He was trying to infer that black people on welfare receive reparations; as if ,whites were not on the system.Β

Yes. In 1988 each LIVING person who had been incarcerated by the GOVERNMENT was given $20,000. I’ve highlighted the problems with your comparison. There are no longer any people in America who were victims of slavery. People who weren’t slaves are asking to be compensated for something that happened to other people over 150 years ago. Also, the government made the decision to lock up those American citizens of Japanese descent. The government didn’t enslave anyone… it was private citizens that owned slaves. Your argument is that 150+ years after slavery ended, a current day government that never held any slaves should order people who never owned slaves to give money to people who were never slaves.Β
Β

The truth is that slave owners were crushed economically by the freeing of the slaves. Any wealth or benefit that came from slave ownership was destroyed. Who else should receive reparations? The people whose legally held slaves were freed? The families of those conscripted to fight in the Union Army to free the slaves? The list goes on and on.Β
Β

The reparations argument is nothing but a play for the vote of people who are looking for a handout.Β

All I hear are White Christian Nationalist dog whistles. Β These folk are incapable of even imagining what 350 years of repression can do to a culture. This kind of stuff happens even today.Β

Β  Systemic racism is very real.Β

350 years brought on by their own ppl. Β Are you including the last 150 years since slavery ended your 350 number? Β If so, I call it 200.

By their own people? What does that even mean? It was enshrined in our own Constitution, written by OUR people, and perpetuated for over 150 years after abolishment by Jim Crow laws passed and enforced by OUR people. Β Your bias shines brighter than a thousand suns.

The African slave trade was worldwide. Only place a descendant of slaves can attempt to pad their pocket is America. Some have even fooled themselves into thinking that reparations will make things better.Β
The majority of racism exists in the media and internet. They will continue to beat that drum for all that it is worth.Β
