Right about the time that I think the message is getting across that "we" just want voter integrity (not to hamstring the minority vote) the Texas Rs slip in a provision that will curb the "pews-to-the-polls" events that have historically been legally successful in getting black voters to the polls.

Thanks a lot, losers.... maybe you ARE just a bunch of racists blowing on your dog whistles.

There are lots of links, this one might not be the best.  I didn't realize it was in there until Rep James White criticized it on facebook.

And it's wrong.  It was intentional and it was wrong.

Forgive me for not seeing the problem.

GOP is playing 4D chess when it comes to finding new ways to make voting as hard and difficult as possible. Then they get on their media platforms and say “how is voter ID racist?!”, and then all the hillbillies just eat it up because they’re literally too stupid to see they’re being manipulated and lied to.

Let’s not forget Trump literally retweeting a video of his white supporters yelling “White power” to BLM protestors

But it’s fine, because it was an accident. Whoops. Haha nothing to see here folks.

In the tweet, Trump wrote: “Thank you to the great people of The Villages”, a retirement community in Florida he visited last year.

It's on both sides... people who want the freedom to count illegitimate votes call efforts to secure the voting process "voter suppression" and hide behind the good people who just want to make sure that everybody gets a chance to vote.  On the other had you have people who have no problem with minorities being disenfranchised but claim their just "protecting the integrity of the voting process" and hiding behind the good people who just want to make sure that their vote counts.

Somewhere in the middle you have most of who are reasonable and just want to see everybody get a chance to vote once.

My question is this:

If the voting laws pertain to ALL voters, how are minorities truly being disenfranchised?

That’s a question that the left can’t refute, other than to say “our voters are incapable of getting an ID and bringing it with them to the polls.” Then the right turns around and throws in a provision that is squarely aimed at curbing a traditional get-out-the-vote effort for minorities.

I was recently surprised to hear of an elected voter registrar in another part of the state that privately voiced support for making it harder for low-information voters to cast their vote. I’m pretty sure that I know who they were talking about.

If some people are not mentally capable of getting a Voting ID, should they even be voting?  I’m for giving everyone a short test prior to getting an ID.  Simply list your Congressperson and your two Senators.

Voter ID is a requirement in most all countries.  It’s not a barrier, it’s just common sense.  Btw, been voting over 50 years & showed and ID every time.

Lmao here come the kkkook traitors out in full force

Why didn’t y’all go join the Jan 6th insurrection so your DA’s can get arrested too? Donated all your money to that sham build the wall campaign and couldn’t afford a plane ticket? 🤣

Better to say nothing and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt.

And it's wrong.  It was intentional and it was wrong.

"Current law requires counties with a population of 100,000 or more people to conduct early voting on the last Sunday of the period for at least five hours. The final version of SB 7 in the regular session revised that to say counties with a population of 30,000 or more can conduct early voting on the last Sunday of the period for at least six hours between 1 and 9 p.m."

They lowered the county population by 2/3 and added an extra hour.

"And it's wrong.  It was intentional and it was wrong."

I still can't figure out if CB and IMWT are bi-polar, with the logic of some of these posts.

CB is a smart guy that sometimes  likes to stir the pot from both sides, IMWT is just a troll with TDS that never makes a point.
