KFDM COOP Posted June 27, 2006 Report Posted June 27, 2006 District 24 2A Previews now up. http://www.setxsports.com/football/previews/index.html
Backwoods Posted June 28, 2006 Report Posted June 28, 2006 The Deweyville record in 24-2A last year is misleading. It shows Newton beating them 21-0. Actually that was the score after the 1st quarter when Dville forfeited the game. Good luck to the Bucs this year. We may meet again to see who's the best in Newton County.
kicker Posted July 6, 2006 Report Posted July 6, 2006 5A is always neglected in this area. We just dont have many teams.
KFDM COOP Posted July 6, 2006 Report Posted July 6, 2006 We cover the LOCAL teams in the area. The 1A Previews are now up.
gringo Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 Whats LOCAL? I figured within a district would be local.
Bobcatfan4life Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 We basically cover from Huffman to the Louisiana border to the east and from the Sabine Pass-High Island area to the Jasper/Woodville area north.
jdawg03 Posted July 7, 2006 Author Report Posted July 7, 2006 Our coverage area is the same as KFDM channel 6's......If you can get them on cable, then we cover you
Backwoods Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 We basically cover from Huffman to the Louisiana border to the east and from the Sabine Pass-High Island area to the Jasper/Woodville area north. That would mean 23-2A would be split, 2 in, the rest out.
jdawg03 Posted July 8, 2006 Author Report Posted July 8, 2006 thats correct....Newton and Woodville is covered on this site, and the rest of the teams are covered on detxsports.com
KFDM COOP Posted July 17, 2006 Report Posted July 17, 2006 Kelly and Baytown Lee Previews coming soon.
Backwoods Posted July 17, 2006 Report Posted July 17, 2006 thats correct....Newton and Woodville is covered on this site' date=' and the rest of the teams are covered on detxsports.com[/quote'] Well, if that's the case, I consider Newton Deep East Texas anyway, since we are the eastern-most district in the state. That's pretty deep. TV reception isn't too good here either.
Guest bulldogbark Posted July 17, 2006 Report Posted July 17, 2006 no see you got it wrong,,,, Jasper is Deep East Tx and Newton is Very Deep East Tx
Backwoods Posted July 17, 2006 Report Posted July 17, 2006 You got that right. And Woodville is Near West Texas because it is west of the Neches.
Guest bulldogbark Posted July 17, 2006 Report Posted July 17, 2006 then WO-S must be Near South Deep East Tx or something like that
jackleg Posted July 17, 2006 Report Posted July 17, 2006 We are known as the Harvard on the Neches. We are in East texas you are in southwest louisiana or the greater bon weir/merryville area. You got that right. And Woodville is Near West Texas because it is west of the Neches.
Backwoods Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 Actually I expected a great comeback on that one. But your Harvard is part of the poison-Ivy League. Woodville is one of the few places that I really respect the fans as well as the team. Glad to be back in the same district. Looking forward to some good competition. I think it's in West Texas this year and SW La. next year. By the way we love that new stadium of yours.
kicker Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 I get car sick driving through Newton will all those hills!
RETIREDFAN1 Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 I was hoping to see something about Colmesneil, Chester, and Burkeville.
jdawg03 Posted August 10, 2006 Author Report Posted August 10, 2006 those teams are going to actually be covered on the www.detxsports.com due to the districts there in
