I vividly remember that extra point block & run back. Many PNG Fans started walking out after Central scored that touchdown.  Never leave early!!!  Great memories at this stadium.

If I’m not mistaken, that same year, the ‘Lightening and Thunder’ game was played at Babe.  That was a higher ranked game IMO.

That was 2007 when they called the game due to the storm that was passing through i believe Brownsville at the time. I was hoping the lightning would stay out of the 500 mile radius they set as being the guidelines but alas...

I remember North Shore playing Central there one year and the Central fans booing the North Shore band at halftime. One of the funniest things I've ever seen at a football game.

Man!!! Alot of great memories at the babe...Babes had the North end rocking on Fridays.

$80k to tear it down!! With all the youth football and track organizations in Beaumont in need of a place to practice and play I really wish they would use some of that $80k to renovate and give it to the city so these babies could benefit and make new memories for our community.

My dad was a cop back in the 70’s and would work extra-jobs at the games.  We would drop him off and pick him up after the game in the Chrysler Volare’ station wagon.  Great memories, with the Record Rack across the street, and the old fairgrounds in the area.  Also remember him working Greenie Stadium and we’d get to go to the games.  People parking everywhere - that place was crazy.
