Congrats to the ones that made it. I am disappointed in the second team catcher pick - think Carnahan from PNG deserved it more that Hussey.

Cleanup, How can you be disappointed that Carnahan didn't make second team before Hussey? Hussey put up very good numbers this year. I know both the players and based on the amount of time each played, I really think that Hussey deserved second team before Carnahan. Congrats to all the players.

Several surprises:

1. I agree that Carnahan's omission is a surprise. No disrespect to the other guy, but Carnahan performed exceptionally well under very difficult circumstances.

2. I am surprised to see Aaron McFarland not included on this list.

3. I thought Vidor had the 1st team 2nd baseman from last year returning. What happened to him?

Still, congratulations to the young men who did receive these honors. It is an achievement that lasts a lifetime.

To answer your question, I bet if you put Carnahan's stats against Hussey, he would win in every category. Hussey is a great athelete, so I not trying to take anything away from him, just think Carnahan deserved it more. The two games they played together, Hussey struck out several times and had several passed balls.

Again, not to take anything away from Hussey, just didn't see the pick as correct.

i agree that Aaron McFarland should have atleast been 2nd team 1st baseman, and possibly co-newcomer of the year, Like the 1st team pitchers though....all mid-county

Totally agree with you, Aaron McFarland should have been on the All-District team. He had a great year at the plate and made many good plays at first. Game winning hits all year and has good power. Good kid too!

Until these coaches stop picking against each other instead of for the best players it will never change, explain how 2 players come from a Beaumont school that was ten run ruled most of the time.

You are correct about the Kid from Nederland, but he got caught up in the political ring....

i don't understand how does a 3rd basement from Central make 1st team .no one on that TEAM, was better than anyone on our Jv..there were alot better 3rd basement in the league than him. sampere ,harrington ,and L.C.M.
