My 11 year-old and I went out to El Campo Saturday with an outfitter buddy of mine. The fog was horrible but we ended up with 3 teal, 3 spoonies, and 2 Speckledbellies. Had a great time, never heard or saw so many specks in my life, unbelievable.

didn't miss nuthin on the coast.........we had ducks all around the blind friday evening and come saturday morning nuthin.........shot 2 gadhoppers, 1 gw teal, 1 snow goose........sunday evening saw 2 flocks, high flyers.  think they pushed south.  I have heard no good reports from the open water and a handful of good reports from the freshwater marsh, Mostly teal though.  Seems all the bird action was from katy/ el campo area south. Rockport guys really racked up lots of gadhoppers and widgeon down there.  think i may be heading south this weekend.

Man was the fog bad here. If it weren't for the gps we'd have never found our way out to the bay.  We averaged 5mph until it broke at the mouth of the buyou........then it pushed into the bay about 3am almost needed the gps just put the decoys out........couldn't see the blind from 15ft away.
