state football rankings is it fair

Unfortunately, being a pre-season game, coaches are not going to want to risk their players health on a game that means nothing in the standings. As far as state rankings go, I've always felt they most often lean toward historically tough teams giving them numbers that don't always fit where newer winners have a harder time climbing the ranks.
