Bay City @ Vidor

Bay City is 2-1 on the year with wins against Sweeny and Wharton and a loss to Edna. 

Pirates seemed to have found their groove in the run game, but still struggling to hold on to the football. Defense is starting to find their footing and looking to improve against the Black Cats. But like Coach Mathews said after the game Friday, the Pirates are still looking to play a game to their full potential.

Bay City 2-1 so I expect a tough game, but Vidor will win if they keep playing with heart.

You’re probably like me, just get the win.  I’ll guess Vidor by 13.

These Pirates seem to have more heart than some pass teams.  They play tough regardless of the opponent.  If they keep this “killer instinct” for one game at a time, it’ll be a heckuva season.

That's how I feel too. Just play our type of game, control the clock and score on every possession if we can and keep improving defensively!

Welp, this game was cancelled by Bay City. I'm guessing because of the storm caused by Nicholas. 

 

But I heard Vidor is searching for an opponent.

They found a replacement. It’s one of the Christian schools but I’m not sure if it’s Kelly or who it is.

Heard it's still going to be a home game too, but I'm guessing it's not set in stone yet.

Should be a W if it’s one of the local Christian schools... but I did hear Kelly has a solid team this year with a young QB who is going to be a good one. I’d like to see him play so I hope we get the Bulldogs.

Its going to be against Fort Bend Christian Academy, not sure if I've heard of them before.

Huh... me either, no clue about them. I wonder if it’s going to be a real game. Last year we had to schedule a make up scrimmage during the regular season.

FBC just backed out too, according to Ashly Elam. No game for Vidor this week.

I agree, Jasper is gonna be a physical game. Rest up and get healthy for a good Bulldog team!
