I did watch the game so no.

That's because some of our best players wasn't playing in eather of them games. And in the 4th quarter of the Nederland game we didn't even play two of are best receivers. One quit after the game. And coach wouldn't let Brisbane run the ball eather. And Silsbee pretty much totally dominated both games even though they didn't get the W..! And they where really putting it on #10 5A Nederland.

That’s what I wanted to hear. Not to take anything away from Silsbee, but I don’t think Nederland is a top 10 team in 5A. Silsbee though should make some noise come playoff time.

Several things about this statement.

(1) Silsbee lost.  Youth played a big part.  Accept it.

(2) Silsbee Coach does not prevent the QB from running.  QB choice most of the time.

3) WR depth is deep.  Not sure of best players not playing because the ones on field during these games are pretty dang good.

You said pretty much the same thing I said. And when did I say I didn't accept it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I was told coach didn't want him running. But other then that ok we are on the same team here. But it's all good.

My apologies.  Quoting your post was probably not the best approach to the topic, but my attention was to point out that nothing cost Silsbee those games other than the level they were playing at the time.   Both losses were due to loss of focus and conditioning.  Not a good combination for young players.

The "accept it" phrase was not directed at you personally.  Just addressing the number of statements that placed blame on anything but the reasons I just mentioned.

And yes, we are on the same team.  #TigerNation

So Silsbee is Orangefield's homecoming opponent.

In the words of my friend BMTSoulja, "disrespectful!". lol

Since I won't be broadcasting this week (my oldest son is getting married this week down here at the beach) I might have to tune into this one.

Believe Stelly and the crew from KOGT are airing the game this week if anyone was wanting to tune in

Silsbee has alot of speed and play makers on offense. The question is on the defensive side of the ball. OF is 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense. If we get blown off the ball, could a much closer game.

The thing about OF is that they've been doing a great job keeping the ball when driving down the field. When they played Woodville they kept the ball for the entire 4th quarter and Woodville had one possession in the 4th quarter and threw a interception. If OF is going to beat them this is the time to do it. They have healthy players and home field advantage and will be fired up for homecoming, I believe it'll be as close as last year, If not closer.

This years Silsbee team is much better on offense than last year.

So, y'all feeling all nice and comfy after beating some 3A teams with a combined record of 4-7. Your loss is to a 4A school that has beaten a winless Christian school and two 3A teams. Not to mention y'all have never beaten Silsbee. Now, Silsbee coming in with a losing record, having two last minute losses to bigger schools and a win over a power house 4A school, that maybe down this year, still a tradition rich team. Y'all still feeling all worm and fuzzy? Consider this, Silsbee has already seen y'alls offense, having played two teams that run it as good as or better than y'all can. Y'alls loss is to a team whos offense isn't as good as ours and they put 31 points on y'all. But you know thats why you play the game. Hey, it's y'alls homecoming and what better time to get y'alls first win over Silsbee. Me, I'm going with the homer pick, Silsbee. TigerNation!!!

Settle down ghost rider.   Somebody is taking everything personal and just to let you know we aren’t down with the “worm and fuzzy”.  Nobody from OF talked trash on Silsbee other than they think that they can give Silsbee a good game.  How dare we don’t just fall in line with your way of thinking lol.  On that note…. I feel “nice and comfy”

    • That should tell everyone something pretty clearly. Does anyone really think BH is recruiting elementary kids, to get them to transfer in Jr. high? Seriously? Here is the "dirty little secret" about BH: Most people move to the district for a quality living environment to raise their young family, and benefit from the outstanding acedemics at BH. Even If all athlectics suddenly disappeared from BH, people would still want their kids in the district. If thats not enough to convince anyone, and BH really was determined to recruit, first step would be to have open enrollemnt. It is closed.        Yes, I get it, no one ever wants to give BH the benefit of the doubt on anything. Some of the accusations are beyond ridiculous though. This paranoia the BH critics are afflicted with is not just sad, its flat out laughable.
    • Opting is always an option. Are they considering any BC assistants? Highly qualified after that season they put up.
    • Be that as it may, only time will tell. Hide and watch. Don’t be surprised if the next HC hire uses his own recipe. That happens more than not historically. I am not arguing the point that Hooks & CT had a winning combination that could’ve been carried over. I’m saying that finding someone to do that is not going to be as easy as one might think. Tell me again why Saban’s replacement, who even has Saban’s assistance if he wants it, just lost another game to an unranked team and has taken the Tide out of playoff contention? Why wouldn’t he just follow the success of possibly the greatest college football coach ever lived?
    • We've acknowledged having 2 HOF coaches hasn't been like most other schools. So why everyone jumps to the conclusion it wouldn't work here is beyond my comprehension. I see it carry over with these other hires. Gilmer, Aledo, North Shore, Austin Westlake. Next man up that continues the system in place has instant success. Matter fact there was 2 rookie HC that won the state championship the same year we handed over the keys. Same book. Same recipe. Better ingredients.
