This has the potential to be a good matchup. If Buna can throw the ball and catch it and get their O-line to block and be disciplined on defense it could be a good game. Woodville does have a lot of speed and overall seem more athletic than the cougars. Anxious to see the final score on this one considering Buna has not scored in 3 games

District opener. Should be an easy win for Woodville but I thought the same thing last year. It’ll be interesting to see how this matchup turns out with Buna running the new offense under the new HC. Looks like Buna has had a hard time adapting so far. Go eagles 🦅

Woodville--Injuries & Discipline

How well have we recovered from our injuries?

Will we keep our cool after being provoked, which was a factor last year?  For some reason Buna pushes a lot of buttons when they taunt, everygame has taunting but we seem to really not handle it from Buna

Buna--New HC, New Scheme's

Learning curve seems to be causing the program issues early this season or have they been holding back?  Has the injury bug hit them as well causing the lack of offense?  0-4 Losses to larger schools OK but the lack of offense from Buna is puzzling they usually are at least competitive

 

Usually a battle between these two Teams so I wouldn't expect anything less, Hoping for an injury free night as we Open District.

This could be a very interesting game. Considering Buna won last year it’s a factor to say that they have the potential to win again this year. Will Woodville losing their composure cause penalty flags to fly? This could be a big week for the new HC at Buna to put some numbers on the board. Honestly I feel like it’s a toss up.

It’s gonna be a tough row to hoe in order to make the playoffs if you don’t win the district opener, especially if you’re battling for that 3rd and 4th spot.

I expected more out of these two teams. A win could get a team on the right path and looking forward to challenge for a district championship. A loss could get you on a path looking forward to basketball. I think it’s a big game for both teams.

One thing for certain is it’s going to be a perfect night for football in SETX!
