Rudder was down 28-14 in the 4th Qtr but came back to tie and force OT.  Rudder kicked a FG.  Huntsville was at the 1 yard line about to win the game but the RB fumbled at the goal line.  Long discussion about if he crossed the line but refs really had no idea so they gave it to Rudder.

Rudder beat em 31-28 tonight in OT.

Unless you lined up against them, which Crosby had the pleasure of doing twice, you’ll never understand how good of a high school tandem the Bobino brothers were.

Huntsville got good because of that defense and the fact that they had Matthew Southern, which was the head coach’s son, at qb for three years. They dropped 54 on Crosby in the second round in ‘19 and 43 on FB Marshall in the regional final in ‘18. Outside of that they’ve never really been able to score on good defenses.

For as big as the Hornets are they play a pretty finesse style of offense. On top of that it’s not very complex because in recent years 21 points has been enough to win them a bunch of games. When Eazy said Maxpreps had rhe 5th best team in the district ranked I guess he was taking about Huntsville?

Good points.

No doubt good points and accurate except for the 5th place humor.  The Hornet offense still doesn’t look like they can put up a bunch of points.  Their starting RB has missed 3 straight games which hasn’t helped the game plan.

The defense is still pretty good and will probably get better, but it’s not Bobino D.  Crosby was the ONLY team to score 30 on Huntsville in the last 2 seasons.  This year’s defense has given that up 3 times already in 4 games.

The District is wide open and the Hornets could still win it.  I don’t see any team making it though District undefeated.

Guess the run of good players has come to an end

Nah. But the run of having a District MVP game changer of a defensive player has.

And FWIW, I heard there was a controversial ending to the Rudder game and that Huntsville should have won in OT. Won't change anything now but that's tough if true.
