Jasper at LCM

i know its early, but there's a lot of hype in Bear Country. its amazing what a coaching change will do. for the 1st time in many years I think LCM may finally give Jasper a challenge.

This should be a great game.  LCM showing a good offense against a very good Jasper defense.  Reminds me of what the old man said before getting in a fight, “Here boy, hold my teeth”.  😂

LCM offense seems to be clicking as of late, but that Jasper D is something else. This is gonna be a great game nonetheless.

you have to go back to the 70s to find the last LCM win over Jasper, and most of the meetings since have been Jasper blowouts....would love to see the Bears compete with them

LCM looked really good last night. If the oline blocks well they will beat Jasper. LCM rolled up almost 600 yards offense last night. I expect the D1 prospect to have a big game too.

This’ll be my “game of the week” since the Pirates have a bye.  Also suspect it’ll be one of the better games in the area.  LCM is kicking into high gear and Jasper’s season, expected to be stellar, has been frustrating due to Covid and two close losses to PNG & Vidor.  They’ll want to take it out on da Bears, but this ain’t no gimme.  Good luck to both.

LC-M yes will give jasper  all they wanted belive me the bears have already played one of the best defences around  in the likes of wo-s and you saw what they did gave the mustangs all they wanted.this new coach and his staff will in time will make the bears one of the best teams around  HE IS A WINNER

10-7 the BEARS in 1979. Don Richards field goal wins it at Jasper.

Side Note if remembered correctly: It was last game of the regular season LCM went to #1 ranked Jasper & pulled off the upset.

My pastor Cazzy Francis was a soph. WR that year. Don Richards was SR. QB & completed the only pass of the game for LCM to Cazzy that set up the 37 yard field goal to win the game. LCM was 6-4 in 1979. Don Richards went on to start at QB for Mcneese a couple years & Francis went on to QB LCM & at Arkansas State.

Jasper has a great D but they looked tired against Vidor in the 4th Qtr.  Maybe the result of all the off time from Covid.

I think we'll shake off some rust this week and get back in the win column, but it will be a good game.

Cazzy actually went on to play in the NFL.
