SETEXFan Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 Mike Dugat and James Maxwell have been offered by Univ. of Texas at El Paso. James is the least known of these two but he is the young man that returned the punt against Ozen. Congratulation to these two young men.
SETEXFan Posted May 23, 2006 Author Report Posted May 23, 2006 Dayton does not do 7 on 7. The last thing Coach Stewart wants is some daddy telling his kids what to do. For that matter when a 2A school from north texas can win a 7-7 state champioinship with their guard playing QB, 7-7 doesn't mean a whole lot. Besides it has not helped Baytown Lee be successful in true football.
Matt Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 And i believe maxwell is the fastest bronco also, i think this will be his 3rd year as a starter, this will be dugats 4th year to start Dayton has a lot of 3 year starters taking the field this year, when nederland pounded us in the 1st round of the playoff's 2 years ago, there were 7 sophmores starting in that game and 1 freshman
KFDM COOP Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Can't wait to see how they do here come September.
Matt Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 I think they will hand the ball off to #8 quite a few times
KFDM COOP Posted June 3, 2006 Report Posted June 3, 2006 Mike needs 1500 yards to become #5 all time in 4A rushing history. Conference USA opponents coming and taking kids from UofH right under their nose
Wes57 Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 A very reliable source told me that the Maxwell kid has been kicked off the team. The boy had been warned before and supposedly committed the same offense again. Jerry Stewart doesn't put up with a whole lot and there are 3 more players that may get kicked offl also.
