Guest TravelingBandsman Posted November 6, 2007 Report Posted November 6, 2007 I'm just glad Dayton is ranked in the Top 25 4A's of the state. That's a real accomplishment in my book, being that there are over 150 4A's in the state I believe.
Guest whoabroncos09 Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 whooooo...way to go broncos!!
stevieray Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 I think the ranking look great. I know some of you don't care, but #1 Stephenville plays at #6 Everman this week. The loser will meet up with #4 WF Rider (a team Stephenville beat earlier in the year) in the 2nd round of the playoffs...considering they win round 1.
TradinUp BH Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 All of this doesn't mean anything. If you win five games in Division 1 or six games in Division 2 is what counts because you go home with a state title. It's neat for the fans, but that's it.
stevieray Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 so do you think both state champions in 4A will come out of the top 10 that's listed? I personally think so....
WarPaint Posted November 7, 2007 Author Report Posted November 7, 2007 Your right these rankings do not mean anything ,as you can tell because PNG and DAYTON were not even on it until week 7 and 9.... but it is nice to see your team get a little respect when deserving! ;D ;D
Guest TravelingBandsman Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 I take a little notice of the rankings because if you look at it, they don't rank it just by record. They rank it by stats and overall performance of the previous week. Dayton exhibited a spectacular showing last Friday so that's why we're up there. If we come out and continue this ability, then we'll be ranked higher.
Pimp Smack Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 Dang. Cant belive Dayton got put up there b4 Lumberton. And why in the world is PNG b4 LaMarque???
TradinUp BH Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 Dang. Cant belive Dayton got put up there b4 Lumberton. And why in the world is PNG b4 LaMarque???I would think becuse we've reeled off 7 straight wins and LM has lost two recently, but like I said it matters if your #1 at the end of the year.
PURPLE 4EVER Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 Dang. Cant belive Dayton got put up there b4 Lumberton. And why in the world is PNG b4 LaMarque??? "Cant belive Dayton got put up there b4 Lumberton"It's called....Strength of Schedule.Instead of playing pansies in the first three games Dayton played a pretty tough predistrict schedule. Then on top of that they just clocked a team previously ranked #11 by a score of 63 to 0 while allowing the team to less than 50 yards of offense and only 2 first downs. Why is PNG b4 LaMarque...PNG is 7 and 2 after being 0 and 2.LaMarque has lost two games recently. The rankings mean nothing once the playoffs start. What matters now is to win the next 6 or 7 games.
