Bobcatfan4life Posted October 9, 2021 Report Posted October 9, 2021 Was glad to see Orangefield did not overlook Liberty last night and get caught looking ahead to this game this week. One week and one game at a time. Let's line up Friday night and see what happens. Quote
GUNHO Posted October 9, 2021 Report Posted October 9, 2021 This should be a good game. When is the last time OF has had a legitimate shoot at WOS? Quote
Bobcatfan4life Posted October 9, 2021 Author Report Posted October 9, 2021 I think the 2011 game was 14-7 Quote
Bobcatfan4life Posted October 9, 2021 Author Report Posted October 9, 2021 Just checked it was 17-14 Quote
BattlinBear02 Posted October 9, 2021 Report Posted October 9, 2021 as good as OF is looking, and as much as I would love to see them pull this off, i just can't see it happening...WOS is just too fast and athletic...WOS wins 35-14 dj, ladybug33 and powerlifter 1 2 Quote
powerlifter Posted October 9, 2021 Report Posted October 9, 2021 yes OF has a very good team and looking forward to this game with wo-s Friday. OF has been playing some solid football this year, Friday they T/C/B and won big time shot in the arm for them the mustangs better find away to stop the stupid mistakes and play like we know they can. GUNHO Posted October 9, 2021 Report Posted October 9, 2021 Don't get me wrong because I support WOS but the #7 team was suppose to beat LCM too. exsoftballplayer 1 Quote
ladybug33 Posted October 10, 2021 Report Posted October 10, 2021 Orangefield has players that will run up the middle, run wide to the right. #32 is a big kid that runs hard tackling him high is going to be a problem. # 40 is also the same type of runner. Defense will have to work for 4 quarters to contain them. Quote
powerlifter Posted October 10, 2021 Report Posted October 10, 2021 Friday night the mustangs just cant say here we are and smiling as they get off the bus if this happens they need a adjustment witch orange fied will give them that's. how good they are this year the BOBCATS ARE THE REAL DEAL they are a very balance ball club this year ok now the only thing to mare this game will be the very soft field because 50% rain is called for by kfdm in the after noon 30% at night this will hurt the passing routs in this game . on a closing note hang onto your hats that's maybe how close it will be-----GO AWAY RAIN DONT NEED SLIPING AND SLIDING . raideroldtimer Posted October 10, 2021 Report Posted October 10, 2021 This one is hard to call. I'm leaning towards WOS but if any team in their district can take them this year it may just be Orangefield. setxathlete14 1 Quote

GUNHO Posted October 10, 2021 Report Posted October 10, 2021 Wos has a explosive running game and that's it at this point. You go with what you have.Play calling is limited under these conditions. Quote

Yep. This right here. I think we all would Like more creative play calling but you can only do so much with what you have. Quote
ladybug33 Posted October 11, 2021 Report Posted October 11, 2021 Hum.. I wonder if this is why we haven't been advancing in the playoffs more often, doing the same old thing. Teams have scouted for years. Thinking outside the box is creativity. That don't fix it if it broke is old too, its time to show something different. You never know what you have on the sidelines who can make a contribution. HikeMoncho 1 Quote

What. You make it sound like we exit the playoffs early each year.I don't think so. Quote

We always have higher standards right. 3 or 4 rounds is good, but, we strive to do better at WOS. I don't care about the expectations of others schools who may be happy to get that far or get in the playoffs. We have higher standards. I guess it ok for some, but championships are always within reach, if only we adjust our play calling as we move further in the playoff that's all I'm saying. HikeMoncho 1 Quote
